TestVibe Cloud: updates are managed for you. Read each release's product changes to see what is new; availability can differ from the versioned self-hosted releases recorded below.

Self-hosted TestVibe: version numbers, packages, migrations, and upgrade steps describe the releases you install on your own infrastructure. Downloads, checksums, and license activation remain in the customer portal. Settings → Administration reads the public release feed and links to these notes.

Before upgrading a self-hosted installation​

Read the notes for your target version and all versions since the one you run. Follow the upgrade procedure and back up your data first. Migrations are forward-only; switching back to old application images is not a complete rollback.

  • Docker Compose: take the target release's bundle and its version-pinned Compose file before pulling images. Preserve your existing configuration, secrets, and volumes; compare the new environment example for required additions. A pull using the old Compose file cannot upgrade you.
  • Kubernetes: use the target chart version and preserve your existing values and secrets.
  • Appliances: verify that the portal offers your target format. Replace the OS disk and keep your existing data disk; attach only one disk labeled testvibe-data.
  • Administration: from 0.4.14 onward it is integrated into TestVibe. Existing users must be explicitly appointed as instance administrators through host recovery. Workspace ownership does not grant that role.
