First boot and setup
Open TestVibe, create your account, and configure only the services you need.
Let the installation start
- The appliance initializes its data disk, creates installation-specific secrets, applies PostgreSQL migrations, and starts the application. Keep both disks attached.
- Container and Kubernetes installations also apply migrations before starting the web application. Check the migration job if startup does not finish.
Open the application
- Use the application address shown on the VM console, your configured ingress hostname, or http://localhost:3000 for a local Compose installation.
- The Welcome to TestVibe page is the normal application login. There is no separate administration website or shared default password in 0.4.14 and later.
Create the first administrator
- On a fresh installation, choose Create an account, enter your name, email and password, and submit. The first account becomes the instance administrator and signs in immediately.
- Email delivery is not required for this first account. Keep first access on your trusted network until your administrator has claimed the installation.
- Existing installations keep their users. An operator must explicitly appoint an instance administrator using host recovery; upgrading does not promote workspace owners.
Finish setup
- Settings → Administration opens after the first signup. Overview shows your account, application address and optional services.
- The application address uses your browser address when none is configured. Deployment-provided addresses are preserved. Edit addresses only for a different public hostname or proxy.
- Configure AI models to generate tests, Email for delivery, and Sign-in for your identity provider when needed. These are optional for completing setup.
- Open License to find the installation ID and apply your license. The default grace period is 14 days; after it expires, an unlicensed installation becomes read-only.
- Choose Finish setup to continue into the app. Return through Settings → Administration at any time.
